a young woman becomes ephemeral
by Janice Campbell
A curtain of hair swallows the seafoam of the ocean
Dashed with white froth from rocky coast collision
ascending in physical manifestations of sun streaks
Summer solstice wreathes gold upon her head.
Pomegranate seed syrup stains the blush of her cheek.
A vision of fury
The daughter of hades.
She doesn’t tell people her dreams.
I was born from the sea with a fire in me.
Jupiter and mars in flames,
I disappear into orbit.
